What is Dave Hollis’ Cause of Death?
Dave Hollis, a former Disney executive, passed away on February 11 at the age of 47. Dave Hollis had undergone hospital treatment for heart-related conditions before his passing.
Months after the demise of the former Disney executive, his cause of death has been determined. The deadly effects of cocaine, ethanol, and fentanyl, according to the autopsy report from the Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office in Austin, Texas:

According to the reports, he died as a result of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, which results from plaque buildup in the arteries, and excessive blood pressure.

According to the medical examiner’s findings, Hollis was found unresponsive at his home in February and was pronounced dead at the scene. Hollis has a history of depression, hypertension, and substance abuse. Hollis also had an enlarged and dilated heart. From the report:
“Mr. Hollis’s underlying natural disease of the heart would have predisposed it to developing an abnormal rhythm, particularly in the presence of a stimulant drug such as cocaine.”
What Did Dave Hollis’ Wife Say After His Death?
He had four kids: Jackson, Sawyer, Ford, and Noah with his ex-wife. The pair married in 2004 and announced their split in 2020. Together, they are parents to a daughter named Noah and three sons, Jackson, Sawyer, and Ford.
In his penultimate social media post, Dave posted a picture of his daughter smiling by the ocean, less than a week before he passed away:

After learning of her ex-husband’s passing, Rachel Hollis asked for prayers in an Instagram post. She said:
“We are devastated, Please wrap the kids up in prayers as we try and navigate through the unthinkable.”

She said that learning of her ex-husband’s dying shocked her in an episode of “The Rachel Hollis Podcast” that aired on February 27. She uttered:
“We still honestly don’t know what happened. I found out after the fact that he had gone to the hospital a couple of times because he was having heart problems, So I think it’s really highly possible he had a heart attack but I don’t know and whatever he died from … we’re still in the same space, which is just deep grief.”
