According to Fox News, on Sunday afternoon, the bodies of two police officers from the city of Detroit were discovered in what appears to have been a murder-suicide.
According to the authorities, the remains of the officers were discovered at an apartment complex in the city of Livonia in the state of Michigan.
According to Fox News, officers from the Livonia Police Department were out on patrol when they were contacted by a member of the victim’s family to perform a welfare check. The captain of the Livonia Police Department told FOX 2 about the incident.
Police Feels Its A Domestic Murder-Suicide
According to Fox News, when the police entered the flat, they discovered the bodies of a guy aged 26 years old and a woman aged 22 years old.
Chief James White of the Detroit Police Department has stated that it appears the shooting was a domestic murder-suicide.
The male and the woman were reportedly involved in a romantic relationship, as stated by the authorities.
White remarked that “it’s a sad day for our department” at the time. According to Fox News, he refused to disclose the names of the officers who responded to the site.
The child was located unharmed inside the residence and is currently being cared for by a member of the family, according to the police.
