The city, which is situated 30 kilometers south of Austin, is striving to achieve the goal of breaking the Guinness World Record for the greatest assembly of people with the same name.
On the other hand, if your name is Kyle and you’ve always wanted to shatter a world record, the 21st of May is the day for you to shine. It’s enough if there are more than 2,325 people named Kyle in Kyle at four o’clock on that particular day.
With a total of 2,325 participants named Ivan, the Kupreski Kosci in Bosnia and Herzegovina has been holding the record for the most people sharing the same name since 2017.
The event, which will be conducted on the final day of the Kyle Fair and will be the city’s fourth effort to break the record, will take place at Lake Kyle Park. The city claims that in previous years, residents named Kyle have traveled from as far away as Massachusetts to take part.
There is no charge to compete or admission fee to get into the Kyle Fair. The only requirement is that all of the participant’s names need to be spelled with a “Kyle.” You must read How Texas Prevailed In The Battle For Tier 1 Universities.
“We’re very excited about the upcoming, inaugural Kyle Fair and have high hopes that this event will bring out the Kyles needed to grab a spot in the record books,” City of Kyle Special Events Manager Claudia Rocha said. Rocha added that Kyles of all ages and sizes will be needed in order “to get close to the record set five years ago.”
Before the group shot, all eligible Kyles will be requested to sign in at the VIP tent in order to participate in the event. Participating Kyles will each receive a free T-shirt from the Kyle Fair in the size and design of their choosing.
